China Glaze Wicked Collection 2012 - Glitter Goblin

Hello folks,

I have one of China Glazes new Halloween polishes to show you today, part of the Wicked Collection. I don't have lots of glitters in my collection as I find them a bit of a chore to wear, removal always seems to be a hassle. I'm a sucker for Halloween collections so I got over my glitter snobbery for this collection :-) This is Glitter Goblin.

This is two coats of Glitter Goblin over Misa's Bourbon on the Rocks. Glitter goblin is a glitter polish (obviously) containing brown, orange and holographic particles in a clear base. I haven't used a topcoat in these shots but I suspect these would have looked much better if I had. I picked my bottle up at Olympia Beauty but I think these are widely available now.

What do you think? Like or loath glitters?

NEW Misa High Society Collection 2012 - Bourbon on the Rocks

Afternoon all,

Autumn is most definitely here, not that Summer was about much! One thing I love is Autumn/Winter polish collections. The rich warm earthy shades are my favourite. On my trip to Olympia Beauty couple of weeks back I picked up a few polishes. This one caught my eye in the Misa stand. I didn't realise it was part of Misa's new High Society Winter Collection. I wanted to kick myself that I didn't check any of the others out. This is Bourbon on the Rocks.

 Shade

This is two coats of Bourbon on the Rocks. A dark red orange shimmer. Reminds me of leather, dark antique red wood and tobacco. Very rich and warm. Application was flawless. I think I've found my Autumn staple. I think the High Society Collection is out now and available. Amazon UK has the collection but I think you might be able to find it a bit cheaper elsewhere.

What do you guys think?

Glitter Gal - Belgian Chocolate

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Tomorrow is the annual Olympia Beauty and I'm so excited to see whats on offer this year and spend an obscene amount of money on nail polish. Luckily enough I'm taking my best friend with me who'll hopefully keep me sane during the day and not lose my head!

Today I have one of the new shade released from Glitter Gal - Belgian Chocolate. I've been waiting a very long time for a true brown holo. If you remember I tried to franken my own but failed (check post here). So extremely happy to see a shade like this the 9 new holos Glitter Gal released.

This is two coats of Belgian Chocolate, a delicious milk chocolate holo. Formula on this one was a but gooey, not at all like the past holos Glitter Gal has made. Made application slightly tricky. Overall though this polish is stunning. I got mine from Ninja Polish, but other retailers such as llarowe, Harlow and Co stock Glitter Gal. You can also buy direct from Glitter Gal.

What do you lot think? Choccy heaven?

Hidden Shimmer Pt3...Accessorize - Nevada

Hello Everyone,

Enjoying the Olympics? The opening ceremony I must admit surpassed my expectations. Thought it was rather spectacular. Living in London I was a bit underwhelmed with the whole thing, however now it's here I'm quite looking forward to the events. Today I have the third polish which I picked up from Accessorize - Nevada. You can see the other swatches of Utah here and Colorado here.

This is two coats of Nevada. A terracotta orange with copper shimmer. This was the one I was most looking forward to, although I think Colorado pipped this to the post. Still a lovely colour and unusual in comparison to the available shades from other brands here in the UK. Accessorize have done wonderfully with these I think.

Available from Superdrugs and Accessorize.

What do you think? Which is your favourite?

Hidden Shimmer Pt2...Accessorize - Utah

Hello Everyone

Happy Friday!! I have the second polish out of the Accessorize shimmers, this one is called Utah. Very unusual colour, contains similar shimmer to Colorado.

Natural Light

Strange shade huh? This is 3 coats of Utah. A khaki/mocha creme containing a pink iridescent shimmer. Looks better on than what it looks like in the pics. Another unique shade in my stash.

What do you guys think?

Barry M - Copper

Hello Everyone

Hope your having a fab weekend! I have one of Barry Ms newest releases today, which came out a couple months back. Barry M appear to be upping their game in the polish department with even having commercials on the tele, something which I haven't seen any other nail polish companies do. I like Barry M, I have a whole bunch of them. They are always reliable in regards to formula. They also seem to be bringing out new finishes to the UK market including the Chameleon and Croc effect. Still light years behind the American market but we are getting there. This is Barry M - Copper.

This is two coats of Copper. Formula was really good I thought for a glitter and pretty good coverage. The copper/golden micro glitter really gives a lovely two tone effect on the nail, warm and glowing. Not the most 'Summer' shade but its a great polish to go with the neutrals. I wore this one as an accent mani too, with all my nails painted a nude shade, while painting my ring finger with this which also worked really well.

Price £2.99 available from Superdrugs and Barry M , although this one doesn't appear to be on Barry Ms online store for some reason?

Whats your staple Barry M shade? I also love Raspberry, one of my favouirte reds.

Color Club - Nouveau Vintage

Hi Everyone,

How are you all? I've not had much spare time to post regularly, sorry. I'll hopefully rectify that soon as I get in the swing of my new routine. I've started a new job, its quite demanding but I'm enjoying it. Today I have the mani which I've been sporting for a few days Color Club - Nouveau Vintage. I know this is a fall/autumn polish but I like it so much. I've not really got into the neons yet for summer.

This is 2 coats of Nouveau Vintage, could of done with another maybe. Love the complex colour  of this one. It has brown/green/copper/gold shimmer in a mahogany coloured base. Reminds me very much of the finishes which LA Colors Cactus and Metallic Olive have. I got this in a set of Color Club's Back to Boho Collection from TK Maxx.

Are you still sporting last years shades, or have you embraced the neon trend this summer?
