Ocktoberfest vs Shade 53 Comparison

Hi Everyone,

I have the OPI Every Month is Ocktoberfest comparison with 2True Shade 53 I mentioned last week. Are they dupes??...

This is two coats of both polishes and each applied lovely. So are they dupes? Well I think they are near exact! I can't tell the difference at all. Same inky purple base with redish purple glowing shimmer. Price difference? Major! 2true polishes are £1.99 while OPI polishes are £11.00. OPI bottles are much bigger though. So which will you be picking up, Ocktoberfest or Shade 53?

What are your thoughts?

OPI - Every Month Is Oktoberfest and Possible DUPE???

Afternoon dear readers,

Another post today and another OPI fall polish for you all to drool over. I so love Autumn collections. So looking forward to all those browns, greens and vampy shades hitting the shelves. This one is Every Month is Oktoberfest, one which has received quite some hype, however I think I have a possible dupe for it!!!.

This is 3 coats of Every Month Is Oktoberfest, a stunning inky purple based shimmer. Such an awesome shade. Formula good on this applied nicely. Application brush much better on this one too compared to German-icure. However I think its a near dupe for 2true's Shade 53, it has the same inky puple base. I will have to do a side by side comparison for you soon. Below are the Shade 53 swatches I done back in April.

2 TRUE - SHADE 53

Look very similar huh? I can't say for sure but they are definitely close. 2true retail for £1.99 a polish at Superdrugs, so if your saving the pennies and looking for something on trend then Shade 53 could be your alternative. OPI polishes are around £11 a pop here.

What do you all think? Possible dupe?

Opi - German-icure

Hello All,

I've finally got my grubby mitts on two of the new OPI Germany Collection. I only ordered two as I can't go too mad with the polish spending. Today I'm showing you German-icure.

This is 2 coats of German-icure. A black based vampy red shimmer. Has a slight orange shift to it. So glowy, looks gorgeous in the sun. The brush I thought was slightly wider than usual, but the formula was good.

I'm going to see if I have time to do a comparison post with this one, as I think its similar to a few others in my collection. I got mine off ebay for about £4.00 but I think I had to pay a stupid amount in postage from the States.

What you you think? Perfect Autumn colour?

OPI - Blue Moon Lagoon

Hello Everyone

Well its mighty miserable weather at the mo, with record storms hitting the UK, I thought I would show you a polish which conjures up imagery of sun, sea and holidays, OPI - Blue Moon Lagoon.

This is 4 coats of Blue Moon Lagoon. Had no problems with application, although it is quite sheer could of done with another coat. All pics taken indoors under flash. Blue Moon Lagoon is a light turquoise holo. Really like this shade, I think it has calming and tranquil properties (waffling again).  On a serious note, it is a very subtle shade and very pretty. Can't remember how much I paid for this one? Although I'm sure it was under £7.00 on ebay.

And now, Blue Lagoon in the Bahamas...I'm so over the winter and cold weather already :-) Can I celebrate Christmas here please??

Enjoy

Andrea Fulerton Trio Nail Polish - Rainfall

Hi Everyone!

Yes, It's Friday and I have that Friday flakie feeling! Seriously how wonderful has this weather been?! I'm loving the sunshine!

I have another flakie polish for you today Andrea Fulterton's Trio - Rainfall. Now I know my last review of the trio polishes wasn't so flattering, I had some serious gloopy applications problems going on, but I thought I would give this brand another chance at redeeming itself seeing as I loved the Andrea Fulterton's Mischa so much.

This is 2 coats of the flakie polish contained in the Trio. I only used this polish as I wasn't blown away by the colour of the second polish (the metallic blue), it looks nice enough but nothing special. The 'flakie' polish in this trio is a bright blue/purple/blurple sheer base containing blue/green flakies.

I used 2 coats of the flakies on 2 coats of OPI - Yoga-ta get this blue a gorgeous navy blue polish. I love this combo so much. I couldn't stop staring at my nails, truly mesmerising. My pics don;t do this any  justice. If I was to suggest getting any of these trio polishes, I would suggest getting this one. It's my favourite so far. Using the flakie polish over an OPI polish gave me no problems at all.

I'm going to try using the flakie polish with the other Trio blue metallic polish and see what results I get. I have also included a couple of Andrea Fulterton products in the giveaway I have planned, but that's not til I reach my follower milestone :-)

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

OPI - Movin' Out

Hello there ladies

Woo I've had to time complete a post! I have a gorgeous old OPI polish today from the 2003 Holiday on Broadway Collection - Movin' Out. It's a sheer pink based duochrome/multichrome which looks gorgeous over a dark colour. I layered it over good old faithful Rimmel Black 60 Seconds. The is 2 coats of Movin' Out, although I used 1 coat on my pinky to show the different effect this wonderful polish can achieve. I'm sure you've seen it already, so no harm in showing it again :-)

How gorgeous is this polish! Every colour you get from this beauty. I actually think I prefer only 1 coat. I got this bad boy at my infamous nail shop. So glad that little place exists. This makes me want to hunt down some of the other OPI oldies and duochromes. I seriously want OPI's Glacier Bay Blues.

Enjoy
