LA Girl Addict - Intoxicate

A very merry Xmas to you all!!

I haven't got a Christmas mani for you, tried a little stamping yesterday and it failed miserably! So I thought I would show the final polish out of the LA girl addict collection which I got from Cherry Culture - Intoxicate. My application was slightly sloppy on this one for some reason. I did try to be neat, honest. I just had one of them days when your really clumsy for no reason.

                                                                      Direct Sunlight

Shade

                                                                 Indoors with Flash

Eeek! sloppy application but swit swoo what a stunner of a polish! Intoxicate is a rich plum shade containing the same golden shimmer we've seen in the other two polishes I swatched here and here. The golden shimmer only really shows under artificial or direct sunlight. But look at that glow! AND nearly a one coater like the other two. These are currently still for sale on Cherry Culture online for $2.50 each (approx £1.60).

On another note, after seeing the upcoming Hunger Games Collection from China Glaze (google it if you haven't) I was like "Hunger Games? Huh? Who??" (Yes I'm light years behind everyone).  I've now bought the first book, and I'm currently at chapter 6. I'm liking it a lot although I keep on picturing Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Running Man for some reason?

Once again, enjoy your day tomorrow!!

New Barry M - Lilac Foil Effect

Hi ya all

Well its Monday again! Boo!! Although the holidays are creeping closer. Today I have for you Barry M's most recent addition to their Foil Effects range - Lilac.

This is 3 coats of Lilac. Application was slightly streaky as with the other foils, although slightly better than the Silver and Gold Foil. I tried a little stamping for you using a random Bundle Monster plate over Me Me Me -Wild. The stamp didn't come out great because I'm poop at stamping, although it does show you how well Barry M's Lilac stamps (which isn't too bad).

I actually quite liked this combo, quite feminine looking considering how 'un-girly' my tastes usually are. Available exclusively from Superdrugs for £3.99 for a limited time only.

Have you tried any of the Barry M Foils? Anyone yet found the Croc Effects?

W7 - Purple Paradise

Hello Everyone

Today for you I have a stunning purple polish. W7 - Purple Paradise. Esther @ Fabfingertips mentioned this a couple of weeks back in one of my posts so I thought I would swatch it for you all to see its glorious glow.

Simply stunning. The application was really good on this one. Esther mentioned what good quality this is, and I totally agree with her. Still a smelly formula but that's what you get when a brand isn't big 3 free. This is 3 coats. Purple Paradise is purple based jelly containing what I can only describe as a 'pink glow'. Price? £1.99. I ordered this online from here plus shipping was included.

Don't forget to check out Esther's Blog Fabfingertips as she is totally fabulous!! and the fact I can drool over her Models Own Beetlejuice collection until I get mine :-)

Take care

ETUDE HOUSE Petit Darling Nails - Mystic Purple PP904

Hello Everyone

Today I have for you another Etude House Polish, this time Mystic Purple PP904. Saw this on a couple of other blogs and I knew I had to have it. It's definitely a unique colour in my collection.

This was very nearly a 1 coater! I did 2, but that's because I'm rubbish. The coverage on this was amazing. Mystic Purple PP904 is a dusky purple with bronze and brown glowing shimmer. Not a great description, but this one is really hard to describe. It's a beautiful polish anyhoo. Got this gorgeous polish for £2.65 with free shipping on ebay.

On another note the Barry M Lilac Foil Effects promotion in Superdrugs featured (here) is due to start in store from Wednesday 23rd November (allegedly). I emailed the press office because I've been trying to hunt it down like a mad woman along with the Gosh Winter collection (which should already be available in stores...apart from stores near me it seems!). I'm going to the new Westfields in Stratford on Thursday, hopefully they will have a Superdrugs.

So just to let ya know :)

Andrea Fulerton - Beatrice

Good evening dear readers

Firstly a reminder about my giveaway which due to close in 3 days. It's still not too late to enter though! you can by clicking (here) or on the image in my sidebar.

Now on to some polish business :-) Hope your week is going well. If not then here is some polish eye candy. Meet Beatrice, a delicious purple number from Andrea Fulerton's nail colour collection.

Sunlight

Shade

Beatrice, such a quintessentially British name, doesn't conjure up the most sexiest images (Sorry if any Beatrice's are reading this) but boy this sure is a sexy polish. This is 2 coats of Beatrice. Drying time longggggg, but a coat of Nubar Diamont Topcoat sorted out that problem.

Has a duochrome effect in the bottle which did not translate onto the nail much, although I think I finally captured it after hundreds of pics (oooh you little tease!) but still a stunning purple shade.

Available at Superdrugs for £4.99. Superdrugs are currently running a 3 for 2 offer on all cosmetics!

What do you think hit or miss?

W7 - Metallic Venus

Hello Everyone

Final polish today from the W7 Metallic Collection! Metallic Venus, a Pink/Purple/Gold duochrome shimmer. Sorry I took soooo many photos of this one :-)

Sunlight

Yummy Yummy Metallic Venus, such a beautiful polish. This is 3 coats, less sheer than Mars and applied evenly. Very strong duochrome effect in this one. Simply glowing goodness on the nail.

SO, final thoughts on W7s Metallic collection? Love it!!!!!!!! Even if it is smelly and full of chemicals. Also economically good value, they are cheap as chips at £1.99 each. Winners all round in my book! My only question, where is Earth, Uranus (don't giggle) and Pluto...erm is Pluto still classed as a planet? And wasn't there a new planet discovered?...Where's Patrick Moore when you need him!?

By chance if you are interested in knowing the answers, no need to tweet Stephen Hawking click (here) I had to look it up when writing this out of curiosity.

What are your thoughts? Any favourites?
