NEW Misa High Society Collection 2012 - Bourbon on the Rocks

Afternoon all,

Autumn is most definitely here, not that Summer was about much! One thing I love is Autumn/Winter polish collections. The rich warm earthy shades are my favourite. On my trip to Olympia Beauty couple of weeks back I picked up a few polishes. This one caught my eye in the Misa stand. I didn't realise it was part of Misa's new High Society Winter Collection. I wanted to kick myself that I didn't check any of the others out. This is Bourbon on the Rocks.

 Shade

This is two coats of Bourbon on the Rocks. A dark red orange shimmer. Reminds me of leather, dark antique red wood and tobacco. Very rich and warm. Application was flawless. I think I've found my Autumn staple. I think the High Society Collection is out now and available. Amazon UK has the collection but I think you might be able to find it a bit cheaper elsewhere.

What do you guys think?

Ocktoberfest vs Shade 53 Comparison

Hi Everyone,

I have the OPI Every Month is Ocktoberfest comparison with 2True Shade 53 I mentioned last week. Are they dupes??...

This is two coats of both polishes and each applied lovely. So are they dupes? Well I think they are near exact! I can't tell the difference at all. Same inky purple base with redish purple glowing shimmer. Price difference? Major! 2true polishes are £1.99 while OPI polishes are £11.00. OPI bottles are much bigger though. So which will you be picking up, Ocktoberfest or Shade 53?

What are your thoughts?

Opi - German-icure

Hello All,

I've finally got my grubby mitts on two of the new OPI Germany Collection. I only ordered two as I can't go too mad with the polish spending. Today I'm showing you German-icure.

This is 2 coats of German-icure. A black based vampy red shimmer. Has a slight orange shift to it. So glowy, looks gorgeous in the sun. The brush I thought was slightly wider than usual, but the formula was good.

I'm going to see if I have time to do a comparison post with this one, as I think its similar to a few others in my collection. I got mine off ebay for about £4.00 but I think I had to pay a stupid amount in postage from the States.

What you you think? Perfect Autumn colour?

Jade Holographic - Vermelho Surreal

Hello Everyone!

Finally my usb lead arrived for my camera although I've treated myself and ordered a new Nikon for passing my degree. Its only a compact digital one, but I'm looking forward to getting a new camera as mine has seen better days. I also treated myself to a couple of the new Jade holographic polishes as they looked so pretty. I got two, this one is called Vermelho Surreal.

Shade

This is 2 coats of Vermelho Surreal. A red linear holographic polish. Apparently a Brazilian brand (they do some cool polish over there). Its advertised as a 'true' red polish, although I would disagree and say it leans slightly on a copper tone. The formula was quite jelly like for a holo but had good coverage.

I got mine on Llarowe for $10.00 each. Bottles are not massive but this polish looks amazing in the sunshine. Also don't forget, last two days to enter my giveaway!!

Hits Speciallita Mari Moon - Unconventional

Hello Everyone.

Happy Friday to you all. Today I thought I would share with you one of the other polishes I ordered from Llarowe's shop, Hits Mari Moon - Unconventional. I know you've probably seen swatches of this collection already but one more won't hurt :-) I order three out of Mari Moon Collection including this one, Cool and Dreamer. For those new to the brand, Hits Speciallita is a brand created in Brazil. Check them out! they also do some amazing flakies and holos.

This is two coats of Unconventional, a dark red to purple with a hint of blue duochrome polish. I picked this one as I have nothing like it in my collection and it is totally unique. Formula was slightly on the thick side and the application brush wasn't the greatest. Pigmentation was exceptional, however I strongly advise a base coat with this one. Overall I'm super pleased, I loved Unconventional on.

Available from Llarowe's here for $8 6mls (Around £6) and Speciallita online here

What do you think of Unconventional?

Kiko - 246 Dark Cranberry Micro Glitter

Hello Everyone!

Yay happy Friday everyone. Today I have for you Kiko 246 Dark Cranberry Micro Glitter. Picked this up on a shopping trip to Westfields Stratford in the Sale.

Flash

Natural Light

Shade

I have to say, I was expecting big things from Kiko after seeing all the positive reviews online, this is my first polish from them. I wasn't impressed :-(

This is 2 coats of 246 Dark Cranberry Micro Glitter. Consistency was runny and watery and the holographic micro glitter didn't show up as I would have liked.. The colour however looked nice on and the bottle was a good size.  I have two more colours which I picked up, so hopefully this is a one off and the other Kiko's won't let me down.

Available at Kiko online here for £1.50

Has anyone else tried this brand? Any thoughts?

A England - Perceval

Evening all

How are you all keeping? Good I hope. Today I have the second A England polished I ordered, Perceval.

Natural Sunlight

Flash

Shade

Pretty Percy. This is two coats. Slight application problems compared to Avalon. It was a slightly thinner formula although I'm not the most neatest nail painter. Perceval has a lovely reflective property which means when the light hits, it really glows. Reminds me of a boiled sweet :-) Also a good vibrant shade of red. I'm really looking forward to seeing what A England releases in their new collection.

AND looksy and what came in the post yesterday....Max Factor's new Fantasy Fire :-D

Excuse the poopy pics, but I was in a rush and excited at the same time! Can't wait to swatch this bad boy.

Enjoy All
