My 50th Post - Gosh Holographic

Hi All

My 50th post!!! So something special is required - Gosh Holographic. It's a pain to apply but when it's on the nail...Wowza booooootiful. Warning super duper pic heavy.

I was totally lucky with getting this one while it was available, which makes a change! I don't own many holographic polishes but this is the most holographic one I own. I have ordered some spectraflair off the lovely Kitties26  @ More Nail Polish and eagerly awaiting its arrival. So excited!! I'm going to make some concoctions yay!!

I am also planning to hold a giveaway if I reach 100 followers. I already have a rare discontinued OPI polish lined up as one of the prizes. I'm going to pick up a few more bits though.

If any of you lovely readers could help a gal out and add me to their blog roll I would really appreciate it. :-)

Once again thanks for reading!

A bit of Klean fun - Chunky Holo Black

Hi ya all

So this is my 49th post. Wow doesn't time fly when your having polish fun. I want to say a big hi to all my new followers! Hello :-) So chuffed that anyone givse my little page a gander.

Today I have another Kleancolor polish - Chunky Holo Black. This is such an unusual polish, not because of the glitter (that's stunning) but because of the brown jelly consistency. I overdid it buy using 2 coats. Should of just stuck to one.

As you can see it's a brown jelly rather than black, although when indoors it's more darker in appearance. Didn't get an indoor shot though. Sorry.

My application was awful but I thought I would show you the shots anyway. The holographic glitter is really effective in this polish, indoors and outside. This is layered over Rimmel Black. The glitter particles are larger in the Kleancolor polish in comparison to the other holos they produce. It smells a bit  funky but it's worth it.

I'm going to try and get the other Kleancolors I bought swatched, as hopefully I will be putting some new orders in on their metallic range. For $1.75 each you can't go wrong.

Ta ta for now.

P.s 5 days to go til Olympia Beauty (yeah yeah).

It's Just an Illusion - Nubar

Hi-de-hi peoples

Well I'm back from Torquay. I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend away! If you've never been to Torquay or Devon, I recommend it. The weather wasn't bad either. Torquay festival was on so lots of live music, performers and stalls. Even got treated to some polish while I was there!

Today I have for you another duochrome, Nubar - Indigo Illusion. Hope you're not sick of them :-)

Simply stunning. This is 3 coats, no topcoat (I've actually got some now though). Not much to say about this, it does all the talking on its own. Teal to purple to gold to pink duochrome.

Name reminds me of that 80s Imagination song - Just an Illusion. Bad hair and Bad miming - the good ole days :-) I'll leave the video link if like me you love dodgy 80s music. (click here)

Have fun and thanks for reading!

NYX - Dorothy

Hello all!

This is a scheduled post! I'm currently (or hope I am) in Torquay sunning myself up (yeah right more likely shivering). After swatching Revlon's Facets of Fuchsia I wanted to swatch the other Deborah Lippmann dupe I own, NYX - Dorothy. Apparently a dupe of Ruby Red Slippers. I bought Dorothy when I ordered my Kleancolor's from Beauty Joint.

With flash

SOOOO sexy! ha ha. Doesn't this just scream sultry and sexy. This is 1 coat of Dorothy over Rimmel 60 seconds Black. Luscious :-) I'm back from Torquay Monday so until then...

Enjoy folks!

Gosh Nail Glitter Paillettes Pour Ongles - 05 Ruby Red

Hi ya everyone!

Hope your week is going well. I'm getting very excited as I'm off to Torquay today, ahhh the English Riviera! Can't wait. I booked it through the £9.50 Sun holidays. Ha ha! Cheap and Cheerful. Today I have my experiment with Gosh's new nail glitter Ruby Red. I picked up one the other week from Superdrugs. Decided on Rimmel's 60 Seconds Deliciously Dark, a dark plum/black polish and then used the glitter on my nail tips.

I know, it looks a blooming mess! I got it everywhere! ha ha. I reckon that I could do a better job a second time round. I used a topcoat over this, but I don't think I was supposed to. The glitter was pretty though. I really wanted the charcoal/black glitter but they had sold out. Cost £3.99 a pot. I used a minimal amount for this mani really, I have loads left.

P.s My car is okay!!. Got it back yesterday. Phew. It still needs a new clutch, but that can wait a week or two! So happy.

Will you be getting any of these glitter pots? Have a wonderful weekend!

Marie LLuy Lasting Nail Polish - 140

Hi everyone!

I'm sad today as my car has decided to die on me. It's currently in the garage and I don't know if it will make it or not. Hopefully it will, I've had it a very long time. I don't know how I would cope without my car! It's completely battered and covered in dents, but I love it all the same. I've had my little car since I was 18 years old. My poor Tallulah.

So to cheer me up I decided on a lovely duochrome mani, a polish which I picked up when I was in Ibiza. I can't find much info on this brand but it appears to be available in Spain. I have one other shade of this polish. Marie LLuy - 140 is an amazing colour, wish I could find somewhere to buy more!!

Excuse the bad cuticle on my index finger :-(

WHY did I not buy more of this brand when I was on holiday? What was I thinking!!! This colour is a gorgeous bronze/gold/copper duochrome which applied like a dream! Needed 3 coats.

I needed a polish like this to cheer me up - and it did a little :-)

Have any of you heard of this brand?

NOTD - Orly Galaxy Girl

Hi Peoples

It seems I was born into the nail polishing world a little too late. Many rare and unique polishes have become extinct before their time and I wasn't around to buy them (bummer). One of the polishes which I was after was Misa - Embroidered Emerald. Well it's never going to happen, so an alternative polish needed to be found. With dupes like Urban Decay - Bruise also being discontinued Orly - Galaxy Girl was my last resort. I've read that while the finish is completely different the colour is very similar.

I don't think Galaxy Girl really looks like Embroidered Emerald, maybe similar but I have nothing to compare it with, only images on the net. BUT Galaxy girl looks beautiful on. This is 3 coats. The plum to blue duochrome is stunning. Glad I got it anyway!

To all the rare and lovely polishes that got away eh! Too many to count :-)
