China Glaze - He's Going in Circles

Hello Everyone.

Well today I'm enjoying the sunshine and relaxing. I love my Sundays. To celebrate the fact it's a wonderful day. I have for you China Glaze - He's Going in Circles from the Kaleidoscope Collection. It's described as a sea foam green scattered holo. Its the only one from this collection which I own. I only own one holo from the OMG collection (proper newbie). I stumbled across it in the little nail shop down the high road. I paid £3 for it (can you believe that!). I swear that little nail shop is amazing, it's like Aladdin's cave. I find something wonderful every time I visit.

It's a beautiful polish. So smooth and dries super quick. I love it. I then used Bundle Monster's BM-221 stamping plate with a Rimmel Black 60 seconds nail polish. This polish had gone a little thick which helped it stamp better onto the nail.

Sooo sparkly! Hopefully I'll find some more of these little babies and build up my holo collection. Hope your all having a wonderful weekend. AND a BIG hello to my first followers!

Ever found polish beauties randomly?

All About ME ME ME

Hi everyone

Here I have for you two polishes from Me Me Me Cosmetics Classic Collection. These polishes come in a really cute bottles decorated with a little cherub. Application brush is slightly on the chunky side, but workable. I really like the names of these polishes and the fact that each have 'Their own story'.

The first polish I used was Proud, a dark murky/khaki green which looks very dark on the nail under artificial light, while brownish green in natural light. It's a lovely creme colour which applies opaque in two coats. Very glossy. The second polish, Patient, was a strange colour. It appeared in the bottle as a light beige with a green tone, but applied on the nail as a grey (strange) but still lovely.

Proud -83

Patient - 79

I used Patient with Bundle Monster's BM-204 nail stamping plate. Although this polish stamped ok, I don't think it was opaque enough and the colour was lost when stamped. Despite this the mani still looked quite pretty.

I will definitely be purchasing more Me Me Me polishes in the future. There are a few creme colours I have my eye on. Me Me Me's online store is currently running a 3 for 2 promotion on their polishes priced at £4.50 each. Bonus They do ship internationally. The range is also available at some selected Superdrugs stores.

Snap, Crackle and Pop - MUA Nail Quake Polish

Hey there

Today I have a short post because my camera decided to go pop. I recently purchased two of the new MUA Nail Quake Polishes. Broken Arrow (purple crackle polish) and Shattered Ice (silver crackle polish). I really like this budget brand, and in particular adore their makeup face primer. It's a wet primer rather than a weird gooey texture primer. Having dry combination skin, I find that this primer does wonders. Anyhoo, here I have for you Broken Arrow.

I used Rimmel's 60 Second Nail Polish in Coralicious as the base before I used Broken Arrow on top. These were the only pics I captured before my camera decided to go bonkers. Hopefully it's just a temporary glitch and I'll get it working again soon. I really liked the effect, I'm not really a 'Pink' person but the purple just took the edge off enough for me to stomach.

I had this little combo on for 3 days, not one chip! Only slight wear around the tip of the nails. MUA Nail Quake Polishes are available in selected Superdrug stores and available in 6 shades, priced at £2.99 each. What a bargain!

Enjoy folks

Leopard Print Mani

Hey folks,

Today I have for you my attempt at the 'The Leopard Manicure'. Seeing as China Glaze has helpfully put a video guide on how to complete the look on their site (See Here), I thought I would give it a bash.

Now, as you can see from the wonderful execution (lol) it was a bit fiddly. For me this was a 'Monet' style of mani. From afar, this looked absolutely fab on my nails. Up close it just looked like a load of blobs not done very well. My mates were impressed at it, so I guess that's all that matters :-)

Products Used

Base - Color Club's - Love 'Em, Leave 'Em
Blobs - Beauty UK Nail Polish - Golden Chestnut
Squiggles - Models Own Nail Art Pen
Topcoat - Nubar Diamont

What do you think of the 'Leopard Look'?

NOTD - Topshop Gypsy Night

Hi peeps

So here's another wonderful polish I have for you - Topshop Gypsy Night. It's a stupendous black polish with holo glitter and red flakies. I used 3 coats to get full coverage, and topped it off with Nubar Diamont Top Coat.

I'm not sure if Topshop has decided to discontinue Gypsy Night, I popped down to my local branch to purchase a second bottle but they haven't had any in stock since. You might be able to get it still in their flagship store in Oxford Street, Central London. Its a shame because it's a really unique and lovely polish.

Have you used any Topshop Polishes? What's your favourite?

The Beginning - A Vintage Misa Polish

Well hello there...

Is anyone there? Well hopefully there will be, otherwise I'm rambling to myself (not an uncommon occurrence). So here is my first blogging nail post and it feels like a start of a voyage, a new beginning.

Why did I decide to begin this journey. Well, I had been contemplating the idea of a nail blog for months but my nails just would not grow to an acceptable length. Weeks past, and still no beautiful long nails appeared.

So I thought sod it, I'm off to the nail shop to get acrylics. It was there that I discovered my first swatch. When picking my mani colour, I stumbled upon this beauty. I never knew what it was until I got home as the bottle had no label, but I knew it was a rare find. But who was I going to share this news with? Nobody, I had NOBODY! No one to get excited with about this little gem of a find.

I have always been a nail polish fan, but over the last 12 months this hobby had turned into an obsession. All the nail polishes I had somehow accumulated needed to be put to good use. That is the start of my story folks.

So lets get on with it. The polish that started it all. Misa Four Leaf Clover.

Misa Four Leaf Clover is a gorgeous forest green polish with copper flecks. I loved it as soon as I spotted it, I was half debating whether to offer to buy the near empty bottle from the shop. I didn't have the guts to ask, they would have thought I was a loon.

I have no idea when Misa released this polish, I did try to research but couldn't find any info.

Despite how my hands look in the pic, this green really suited my skin tone and wasn't as red as my camera shows.

Enjoy and hopefully more posts to follow and some followers to follow the posts (ya get me)
