Today I have a very unusual colour a no name HCMJ polish which I picked up in a pound shop. It's a tan brown with green iridescent shimmer.

Excuse the middle finger, I knocked it then had to touch up which didn't work very well

This is 4 coats, very sheer and formula totally pants, it really was a nightmare to apply. Gloopy and smelly, but I kinda like the colour. I might see how this would look layered over something like Topshop's Bourbon.

Another Pound Shop Purchase - H.C.M.J

How has your week been? Mine has been kinda rubbish, but that's how the cookie crumbles I guess sometimes. Less of the negativity...more about polish!

Today I have one of my pound shop purchases, a H.C.M.J no name glitter. Bottles look like an OPI impostor but they had some interesting colours so I thought I'd give them a go. This a a dark red, almost maroon colour glitter suspended in a clear polish base. I started off with two coats of NYC - Battery Park Purple ( a dark purple creme) and used two coats of the H.C.M.J polish over the top.

As you can see from the shade pics, there are odd silver bits of glitter in the polish as well. Don't know if that's intentional or not, although it doesn't really bother me much. Drying time was good, although it was a stinker, smelt mostly of chemicals. Still not bad for £1 :-)

Anyone tried this brand?
