Hello Everyone
I've finally got my hands on some Nail Pop flakies. Now let me tell you, these polishes are so elusive I nearly gave up hope. I had to go to five different Superdrugs to track these down. I wouldn't mind if I lived in some far remote place but I live in London! So without further ado I give you Nail Pop - Sequin Effect.
Sequin Effect is a sheer polish containing green, gold, orange and in some angles blue flakes. Only required 1 coat. This is Sequin Effect over Rimmel Black. Glad to see that this trend has finally made it over to a UK brand other than Andrea Fulerton. Price £5.00.
Anyone else finding these hard to track down?

Models Own Beetlejuice: Golden Green Comparison
Hi All
Well folks, I FINALLY got my Models Own Beetlejuice Collection...I'm like a billion years behind everyone else. Instead of a swatch post I thought I would show a comparison of Golden Green along side some of the other greens available in the UK. I didn't compare it to Channel Peridot, as a few other blogs have already done so, but I have compared it to W7 - Metallic Saturn and Nail Pop - Kimono.
Sorry the pics are not labelled, my photo editor hasn't got capability to add text to images. I added LA Colors - Cactus for no particular reason, just thought it might show contrast in the variety of Greens (I'm waffling).

Fingers; Ring - Kimono Middle - Metallic Saturn Index - Golden Green

Models Own Golden Green required 3 coats, Nail Pop and W7 only required 2 coats. Golden Green was the brightest green with a green-gold shift, while Nail Pop Kimono had the most duochrome effect with a green/gold/red shift. W7 Metallic Saturn was much darker , although still a very nice polish. Slightly murkier than the other two.
So no dupes although all on the same sort of wave length. Kimono is my fav by far, soooo pretty :-)
Enjoy

Reptilian Nails - Nail Pop Kimono
Hello all
I made a trip to Westfields Stratford on Thursday for some Christmas shopping. While I was there I popped into Superdrugs where my intention was to pick up Barry M's new Lilac Foil Effects polish. I came across the new Look Beauty stand containing Nail Pop polish, a make-up range created by Look Magazine. One shade in the Nail Pop collection stood out by miles, Kimono as it looked kinda similar to Channel Peridot. I'm supposed to be on really limited Nail polish funds at the mo, but I had some money on my Superdrugs card which covered the cost. Yay! I thought I had a Channel dupe on my hands. How wrong was I....
Channel Peridot is painted on my middle finger with 2 coats. Kimono applied to the rest with also 2 coats. I hate to say it...Peridot pales in comparison! Did I actually just say that? I love Peridot, I lusted after it for months, but Kimono is well, WOW. It's a darker and more reptilian looking duochrome so if your an individual who prefers a subtle polish then maybe this isn't for you. Kimono shifts from dark green/light green/gold/brown/red. Application was perfect.
I also picked a couple of LA Colors from beauty base for 99p and bought the new Barry M Lilac foil effects (swatches soon) I did make a trip to Kiko but I had to tear myself away without making a purchase :-(
Price £5.00 and available from selected Superdrugs stores.
