Max Factor - Fantasy Fire

Hello Everyone!

Today I have for you Max Factor's Fantasy Fire from their new Spring Collection Via Tortona. Quite a bit of hype about Fantasy Fire as its alleged to have similar properties to the infamous Clarins 230. Looks like it could also be similar to Liquid Euphoria Bliss. I would kill for any of the Liquid Euphoria collection or a bottle of Clarins 230. That's what polish dreams are made of.

This is 1 coat of Fantasy Fire over 2 coats of H and M Notoriously Beautiful.

Flash

Isn't this awesome? I really wish I got some shots of the H and M polish Notoriously Beautiful to show you, as it's a gorgeous purple on its own. Fantasy Fire speaks for itself, a sheer purple jelly which contains iridescent colour shifting shimmer. YES now that's what I'm talking about, how long have we been waiting for a polish like this to be available here in the UK? About time! Well done Max Factor.

Price £3.99 for 4.5mls. A bit of a stingy size I know, but this one is definitely worth the money. Available at Superdrugs in store and Boots in store and online.

Enjoy

Markwins @ Asda - Baby's Breath

Hello Everyone!

Happy Friday to you all. Today I have a full swatch of Baby's Breath, the green iridescent shimmer I found in the Asda nail gift set I featured here. The set is created by Markwins International the same cosmetics company which own other brands such as Wet N Wild.

Natural Light

With Flash

This is 1 coat of Baby's Breath over Miss Sporty - Black. Has a slight colour shift in natural light, but wow the flash shots really ping. Bet this would look nice over white too. Reminds me of an iridescent beetle.

 Enjoy All

Fugly Nails

Howdy Peeps

Today I have a very unusual colour a no name HCMJ polish which I picked up in a pound shop. It's a tan brown with green iridescent shimmer.

Excuse the middle finger, I knocked it then had to touch up which didn't work very well

This is 4 coats, very sheer and formula totally pants, it really was a nightmare to apply. Gloopy and smelly, but I kinda like the colour. I might see how this would look layered over something like Topshop's Bourbon.

Have a lovely week all

W7 - Purple Paradise

Hello Everyone

Today for you I have a stunning purple polish. W7 - Purple Paradise. Esther @ Fabfingertips mentioned this a couple of weeks back in one of my posts so I thought I would swatch it for you all to see its glorious glow.

Simply stunning. The application was really good on this one. Esther mentioned what good quality this is, and I totally agree with her. Still a smelly formula but that's what you get when a brand isn't big 3 free. This is 3 coats. Purple Paradise is purple based jelly containing what I can only describe as a 'pink glow'. Price? £1.99. I ordered this online from here plus shipping was included.

Don't forget to check out Esther's Blog Fabfingertips as she is totally fabulous!! and the fact I can drool over her Models Own Beetlejuice collection until I get mine :-)

Take care

ETUDE HOUSE Petit Darling Nails - Mystic Purple PP904

Hello Everyone

Today I have for you another Etude House Polish, this time Mystic Purple PP904. Saw this on a couple of other blogs and I knew I had to have it. It's definitely a unique colour in my collection.

This was very nearly a 1 coater! I did 2, but that's because I'm rubbish. The coverage on this was amazing. Mystic Purple PP904 is a dusky purple with bronze and brown glowing shimmer. Not a great description, but this one is really hard to describe. It's a beautiful polish anyhoo. Got this gorgeous polish for £2.65 with free shipping on ebay.

On another note the Barry M Lilac Foil Effects promotion in Superdrugs featured (here) is due to start in store from Wednesday 23rd November (allegedly). I emailed the press office because I've been trying to hunt it down like a mad woman along with the Gosh Winter collection (which should already be available in stores...apart from stores near me it seems!). I'm going to the new Westfields in Stratford on Thursday, hopefully they will have a Superdrugs.

So just to let ya know :)

Orly Fantasea vs Stargazer 128

Evening Everyone!

Well I've been meaning to swatch more Stargazers since I featured Stargazer - 121 here. But like a lazy madame, I never got round to it. Well I dug out Stargazer - 128 and thought that it looked slightly similar to Orly - Fantasea. Well, only one way to find out. Comparison swatch.

I used 3 coats of Orly - Fantasea on my middle finger and 3 coats of Stargazer - 128 on the rest. Very similar, both quite sheer, both super glowy and iridescent. Fantasea is slightly more purple base while 128 has a more red tone. They both contain that stunning golden shimmer. Application wise, Stargazer was easier to apply in my opinion, although it had that notorious smelling formula. Orly was a little bit harder to apply, sightly thicker and dragged a little. For the polish collectors out there, not dupes, but very similar. My mum would tell me off for buying both, but I'm glad I have them!

Price? Well Stargazers are pretty cheap for a UK brand only £2.50 each (14ml) available from their online Store here. Orly is slightly more expensive ranging from £5-£9 (18ml) depending on where you buy. I got mine off ebay. I also have Stargazer 127 which is also similar to both of these, but more pink/gold. I'll try and get a swatch of that also :-)

Which do you prefer? Have you tried any of these?

NOTD - Stargazer 121

Hello Everyone

Well a short post today but lots of pics. Here I have for you a wonderful polish. Stargazer - 121. For those not familiar with this brand, Stargazer are a UK based company which started off in 1978 on a market stall in London. Stargazer polishes were available in New Look but last time I looked in my local store, the stand had disappeared. I ordered a couple of bottles off this store, which only charged £1.99 for delivery. 121 is a bronze/pink/orange polish with flashes of dusky purple. Really pretty and applies well. This is 2 coats.

I didn't want to take it off. The other shades I ordered are pretty similar, but still nice colours. I'll try and get some more swatches done.

Have you tried this brand? I've seen some mixed reviews on the net.
