Gosh Nail Glitter Paillettes Pour Ongles - 05 Ruby Red

Hi ya everyone!

Hope your week is going well. I'm getting very excited as I'm off to Torquay today, ahhh the English Riviera! Can't wait. I booked it through the £9.50 Sun holidays. Ha ha! Cheap and Cheerful. Today I have my experiment with Gosh's new nail glitter Ruby Red. I picked up one the other week from Superdrugs. Decided on Rimmel's 60 Seconds Deliciously Dark, a dark plum/black polish and then used the glitter on my nail tips.

I know, it looks a blooming mess! I got it everywhere! ha ha. I reckon that I could do a better job a second time round. I used a topcoat over this, but I don't think I was supposed to. The glitter was pretty though. I really wanted the charcoal/black glitter but they had sold out. Cost £3.99 a pot. I used a minimal amount for this mani really, I have loads left.

P.s My car is okay!!. Got it back yesterday. Phew. It still needs a new clutch, but that can wait a week or two! So happy.

Will you be getting any of these glitter pots? Have a wonderful weekend!

Marie LLuy Lasting Nail Polish - 140

Hi everyone!

I'm sad today as my car has decided to die on me. It's currently in the garage and I don't know if it will make it or not. Hopefully it will, I've had it a very long time. I don't know how I would cope without my car! It's completely battered and covered in dents, but I love it all the same. I've had my little car since I was 18 years old. My poor Tallulah.

So to cheer me up I decided on a lovely duochrome mani, a polish which I picked up when I was in Ibiza. I can't find much info on this brand but it appears to be available in Spain. I have one other shade of this polish. Marie LLuy - 140 is an amazing colour, wish I could find somewhere to buy more!!

Excuse the bad cuticle on my index finger :-(

WHY did I not buy more of this brand when I was on holiday? What was I thinking!!! This colour is a gorgeous bronze/gold/copper duochrome which applied like a dream! Needed 3 coats.

I needed a polish like this to cheer me up - and it did a little :-)

Have any of you heard of this brand?

NOTD - Orly Galaxy Girl

Hi Peoples

It seems I was born into the nail polishing world a little too late. Many rare and unique polishes have become extinct before their time and I wasn't around to buy them (bummer). One of the polishes which I was after was Misa - Embroidered Emerald. Well it's never going to happen, so an alternative polish needed to be found. With dupes like Urban Decay - Bruise also being discontinued Orly - Galaxy Girl was my last resort. I've read that while the finish is completely different the colour is very similar.

I don't think Galaxy Girl really looks like Embroidered Emerald, maybe similar but I have nothing to compare it with, only images on the net. BUT Galaxy girl looks beautiful on. This is 3 coats. The plum to blue duochrome is stunning. Glad I got it anyway!

To all the rare and lovely polishes that got away eh! Too many to count :-)

NOTD - Topshop Country Bumpkin

Well hello there!

Another Monday, another week. Excited about September as I have a few things planned for this month including attending Olympia Beauty. Today I have for you the new shade which I purchased from Topshop - Country Bumpkin. I was after this soon as I saw it online. A lovely dusty orange pumpkin colour with a hint of rose. Country Bumpkin is the perfect name for this polish!

This was 2 coats could of done with 3, had a few problems with application as it was quite runny. No topcoat as I've completely run out now. Drying time wasn't bad either. Topshop is becoming one of my favourite polish haunts now, every time I pop in there I want one of their shades!

Will any of you be attending Olympia Beauty this year? I'm looking forward to the Sparitual and OPI stand, I already have the floor plan of where to find them :-)

NOTD - OPI Charmed By A Snake

Hello Everyone!

Well I've been enjoying the last few days of sunshine here in London, it's actually been warm! Yay!
Today I have for you a polish from OPI's Spring 2008 India Collection - Charmed By A Snake. A beautiful golden sandy brown, packed with gold shimmer. Surprised this is a Spring shade as I think it's a perfect fit for Autumn.

Isn't this SUPER gorgeous! I love how the colour appears to have a gradient effect on the nail! This shade and collection is still pretty much available online. This was 3 coats, application brush was appalling but formula was okay. No topcoat used on this one.

Have you got any colours from this OPI collection? I could of got two more but restrained myself :-)

Thanks for reading

Maybelline Forever Strong Pro - Bubble Gum

Howdy!

Woooooooo it's Friday, and I have that Friday feeling :-) Today I have for you Maybelline - Bubble Gum. I'm not a pink person. I like it but it doesn't really like me. A couple weeks back Superdrug was running a promotion on the Maybelline nail polishes so I thought I would pick a few up. I think it was buy 2 get the 3rd free.

Bubble Gum is a bright pink (almost neon) polish with a slight purple shimmer. Lovely colour in the bottle. I took these pics with the flash on so you can see the shimmer. This was 2 coats. Slightly runny formula though.

Now I want to like this on, but I hate it :-( My skin tone just can't take this type of hot pink. I thought I would share with you anyway as it's a (sort of) new colour to Maybelline's collection. I didn't keep it on long enough to try out the 7 day wear claim. Sorry. Bit of a poo review haha!

Enjoy the start to your weekend folks!

Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique- Nail Tattoos Skull and Cross Bones

Hello All

Since my Andrea Fulerton pics have been generating a lot of interest, I thought I would show you some pics of Andrea Fulerton's Skull and Cross Bones Nail Tattoos. I used this in my mani ages ago but never got round to posting.

I used Color Club Revvvolution as a base and used one of the Nail Tattoos on my index finger. The pics of Revvvolution do not do it any justice because it was indoors, so I will probably swatch this one again for you. The nail tattoo looked great on and removed easily with polish remover.

Purchased from Superdrugs for £1.99

Enjoy
