Marks and Spencer Holo - Rainbow

Afternoon All!

Did you know that Marks and Spencers have a holo in their nail polish collection!? Well they do! It's part of their Perfection Long Wear Nail Lacquer collection. Meet Rainbow, a gorgeous alternative to Gosh Holographic.

COMPARISON TO GOSH HOLOGRAPHIC

This is very similar to Gosh's formula although easier to work with. This is 3 coats as it's quite sheer. Not as holographic as Gosh, not so linear and more subdued but still very pretty...less 'in your face' futuristic looking. Drying time wasn't great though, and it also chipped very easily. I suggest using a topcoat, even if it dulls the effect slightly.

Costs £7.50. On the expensive side, but it is Marks and Spencer's. In the famous words of the Commercial 'This is not just polish, this is Mark and Spencer's Polish'. Also available online here.

Have any of you ladies got this one?

My 50th Post - Gosh Holographic

Hi All

My 50th post!!! So something special is required - Gosh Holographic. It's a pain to apply but when it's on the nail...Wowza booooootiful. Warning super duper pic heavy.

I was totally lucky with getting this one while it was available, which makes a change! I don't own many holographic polishes but this is the most holographic one I own. I have ordered some spectraflair off the lovely Kitties26  @ More Nail Polish and eagerly awaiting its arrival. So excited!! I'm going to make some concoctions yay!!

I am also planning to hold a giveaway if I reach 100 followers. I already have a rare discontinued OPI polish lined up as one of the prizes. I'm going to pick up a few more bits though.

If any of you lovely readers could help a gal out and add me to their blog roll I would really appreciate it. :-)

Once again thanks for reading!

Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique Colour - Mischa

Hi Everyone!

Nearly the weekend guys! Yay. Today I have one of my recent purchases, Andrea Fulterton - Mischa. Its a grey based polished packed with gold, blue and silver glitter. Very complex and unusual colour. The gold glitter gives it a warmth even though it's quite a metallic looking polish. I'd been wanting this one for ages, but it always seemed to be out of stock in superdrugs. I was going to purchase two more of Gosh's new collection but I opted for this instead! The other two Gosh polishes just didn't do it for me.

Fab colour! Coverage required 3 coats. Drying time hideous! I purposely decided against using a fast dry topcoat...well because I've nearly run out. Polish dried slightly textured so I'm sure it will be a bugger to remove. Still a fab fab fab colour though. This was also a thousand times better to apply than the Trio polishes I tried. Cost? £5.10.

I also went shopping today with my best buddy and bought a few beautiful things. Primark was our first stop! I love Primark. As a student with not a lot of dough, it's a shop staple of mine. Here's a few pics of what I bought.

The bag I got a few weeks ago but I thought I would put it in there as I LOVES IT. It was a super bargain at £8. The acorn necklace is gorgeous and only cost £2! Its quite a autumnal haul pic. I also picked up a few other bits and bobs including the new Revlon polish Facets of Fuchsia and Boots 17 Glitter Crackle polish.

Sorry about the long post! Picked any bits up for the Autumn yet?

Andrea Fulerton Trio Nail Polish - Smile in a Storm

Hi Everyone

Today I have Andrea Fulerton - Smile in a Storm. It took me a while to purchase one of these as I thought they were slightly on the expensive side (£7.99 each). I caved in though and purchased two, this one and Petrol in Water. The Trio system is basically polishes designed for layering. The bottle is double ended and contains 2 polishes which can be worn on their own or layering them over each other for a third colour/effect. Not a bad idea that.

The first polish is a gunmetal grey polish. Perfectly on trend with polishes like Chanel Graphite being recently released. Not saying it's a dupe but rather it's in the same area of metallic finishes. Here it is on it's own.

And here it is with the second polished, a sheer pink-purple duochrome layered over the top. I did swatch this on it's own, but my nails looked manky (sorry).

Reminds me of a bubble for some reason. The gunmetal looking polish was a bit of a pain to apply. It was a bit stodgy so I only did 1 coat. Drying time took ages as well. The idea is a good one although I do think these formulas could be improved for better application. Colour was lovely, really striking. I will try and get some pics done of the second Andrea Fulerton Trio I have. Purchased them both from Superdrugs.

Have you tried any of these trios? Any thoughts on the concept?
