Glitter Gal - 10 to Midnight!

Afternoon nail poppers

Today I have the luxury of having a very rare day off :-) so I'm relaxing in front of the computer. Remember when I said I wanted more glitter gal holos? Well I made another polish order at Llarowe's shop and ordered myself this beauty, Glitter Gal - 10 to Midnight.

Flash

Natural Light

This is another polish which I think is gorgeous in natural light without the holo effect. This is 2 coats, not as opaque as Lizard Belly but still applied superbly. 10 to Midnight is described as a charcoal grey holo. Looks a slightly gun metal grey in certain lights. This is also a limited edition colour so get it while you can.

ALSO don't forget to enter my 400 follower giveaway where you can win the complete W7 Metallics (Duochrome) Collection!! (here)

Available @ Llarowe's shop here and Glitter Gal online.

Wet N Wild - Sagreena The Teenage Witch

Hello Everyone

Today I have for you one of the polishes I received from the lovely Carla @ Deuce beauties in a swap. I received some amazing polish from her and Sagreena The Teenage Witch was one of the many included. This one however made squeal a little, not just because it's a wonderful green polish, Sabrina The Teenage Witch is my favourite show ever!!

Flash

Artificial Light

This is 3 coats, not the best formula in the world but it sure glows. The flash shots are really amazing, and it's green! what more could a gal want?

So while I'm at it I thought I would take you down my childhood memory lane and introduce you to some of my favourite TV programmes as a kid. Wouldn't some of these be a great nail polish collection theme!

Sabrina The Teenage Witch

I swear, I'm such a big kid. I have the whole Sabrina collection on DVD.  To be fair, most of my DVD collection is either nostalgic TV shows or modern animation like Studio Ghibli. I can't stand films that are aimed to depress. Give me a good cartoon any day. My favourite character out of Sabrina? Salem Saberhagen of course!

Round The Twist

Round The Twist, another DVD box set in my collection. I loved this programme, it was so different and that little bit more gross then anything else on TV at the time. Particular favourite episode is the one where Bronson finds a green cabbage patch baby.

Moon Dreamers

I just loved this show as a small child. I did have it on VHS although I think I watched it to death.  Queen Scowlene used to scare the hell out of me.

Knightmare

Ha ha, state of this! How dated does this look? Another show which sticks in my memory. I especially loved it when the contestants flew on the back of the dragon. I could never however grasp the concept of time freezing at that age and always wondered how the contestants ate and went toilet when frozen at the end of the show.

Fun House

I so wanted to be on Fun House as a kid and Finders Keepers. I totally thought my parents were not doing their parental duties by not getting me on the show ha ha.

And a few others

My So Called Life

Morph

Five Children and It

Galaxy High

This post was so self indulgent but so much fun!! So, any nostalgic memories? There are so many more to add to this list! Button moon, Thundercats, Racoons, Gummie Bears, Moomins, Stop it and Tidy up... I could go on forever!!! Okay I'm a little obsessed :o)

Nail Art Stamping Plate M21 + SpaRitual Can You Dig It?

Evening Everyone

Hope you all had a great weekend. Today I have for you a mani I created using the Nail Art Stamping plate M21. I'm usually horrendous at nail art but I do love the effect you get when it's done properly. I hadn't heard of this range of plates before, so when I was contacted by Online Nail Bar and asked to review one of their products, of course I agreed!

PLATE M21

This is two coats of SpaRitual - Can You Dig It? a lovely chocolate/plum polish with coppery golden shimmer. I used Barry M Gold Foil for the stamping. I decided to try the butterfly stamp although I was so tempted to go for the splat print and do an Art Attack theme but then I realised I didn't have the skill to pull it off :-) I also used one of the flower designs on my pinky finger.

I had no issues using the Nail Art Stamping plate, and even with my poopy nail art skills I've managed a half decent mani. I've had a look on the Online Nail Bar site, and they do a bundle pack of 10 plates for £10.00 (that's £1 each!) with one Konad plate selling on Amazon UK for £5.45 your getting pretty good value for money. So a good addition to my plate collection.

For further information and and access to more Nail Art Stamping plates you can click here. Online Nail Bar  also ships internationally.

Have any of you tried this stamping brand? Any thoughts?

Kiko - 246 Dark Cranberry Micro Glitter

Hello Everyone!

Yay happy Friday everyone. Today I have for you Kiko 246 Dark Cranberry Micro Glitter. Picked this up on a shopping trip to Westfields Stratford in the Sale.

Flash

Natural Light

Shade

I have to say, I was expecting big things from Kiko after seeing all the positive reviews online, this is my first polish from them. I wasn't impressed :-(

This is 2 coats of 246 Dark Cranberry Micro Glitter. Consistency was runny and watery and the holographic micro glitter didn't show up as I would have liked.. The colour however looked nice on and the bottle was a good size.  I have two more colours which I picked up, so hopefully this is a one off and the other Kiko's won't let me down.

Available at Kiko online here for £1.50

Has anyone else tried this brand? Any thoughts?

Max Factor - Fantasy Fire

Hello Everyone!

Today I have for you Max Factor's Fantasy Fire from their new Spring Collection Via Tortona. Quite a bit of hype about Fantasy Fire as its alleged to have similar properties to the infamous Clarins 230. Looks like it could also be similar to Liquid Euphoria Bliss. I would kill for any of the Liquid Euphoria collection or a bottle of Clarins 230. That's what polish dreams are made of.

This is 1 coat of Fantasy Fire over 2 coats of H and M Notoriously Beautiful.

Flash

Isn't this awesome? I really wish I got some shots of the H and M polish Notoriously Beautiful to show you, as it's a gorgeous purple on its own. Fantasy Fire speaks for itself, a sheer purple jelly which contains iridescent colour shifting shimmer. YES now that's what I'm talking about, how long have we been waiting for a polish like this to be available here in the UK? About time! Well done Max Factor.

Price £3.99 for 4.5mls. A bit of a stingy size I know, but this one is definitely worth the money. Available at Superdrugs in store and Boots in store and online.

Enjoy
